Carson City is Nevada’s state capital and is home to the state legislator, governor and other state leaders. It has served as the capital since 1864 and still has many original buildings from that era.
Named after Kit Carson, Carson City was main stopping place between the thriving mining town of Virginia City and parts of California. It served traveling immigrants as well as the huge mining operations several miles away.
This beautiful city boast numerous parks, museums, schools and other cultural events. Nevada is the only state that celebrities it’s statehood and each year a 4-hour hour parade goes through Carson City and the celebrations last for 3 days!
