Genoa, NV is the first and therefore the oldest settlement in Nevada. It was first settled by the Mormon pioneers and it served as a fort for immigrants and other travelers from all over. People like Mark Twain, Teddy roosevelt, Baby Face Nelson and others patronized this small settlement.
